Former British Open Champion Justin Leonard returns to one of his happiest hunting grounds for this week's Texas Open in San Antonio, where he will bid to become the event's first four-time winner. PGA oddsmakers at Bodog.com have Justin Leonard at 12/1 odds to win the Valero Texas Open. Be sure to get your PGA Tour: Valero Texas Open Picks in now at Bodog.com Justin Leonard posted back-to-back victories at La Cantera in 2000 and 2001; he then edged out Swede Jesper Parnevik in a playoff for the 2007 title to join Palmer, who won three years in a row from 1960. He also has a couple second place finishes here and three top 11 finishes. This year he’s made 8 of 11 cuts with three top 10 finishes. His best finishes were T-5 at the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. Justin Leonard is listed at 12/1 odds to win the Valero Texas Open. Zack Johnson the defending champ reignited his game at LaCantera last year, and the flame is still burning red-hot this season with one win and several other strong finishes under his belt. He’s made 9 of 12 cuts with one win at the Sony Open. He finished third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T-6 at the Mercedes-Benz Championship. Zach Johnson is also listed at 12/1 odds to win the Valero Texas Open. Anthony Kim is a two-time TOUR winner, last year, and player who had a T2 at the 2006 Valero Texas Open. Kim missed the cut last week and has been struggling with some poor habits off and on the course. He’s made 6 of 8 cuts this year with a second place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Championship. Besides that he hasn’t done much, but with no superstars in the field he does have a chance. Anthony Kim is listed at 14/1 odds to win the Valero Texas Open. Charlie Wi is money from 125 yards or less. No one on TOUR hits it closer from 125 yards and in; that's the go zone at LaCantera, which is only 6,800 yards. Runner-up here last year, Wi stacks and tilts his way to the next level. He’s made 8 of 11 cuts with a second place finish at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, a T-4 finish at the Transitions Championship and a T-9 finish at the Honda Classic. Charlie Wi is listed at 22/1 odds to win the Valero Texas Open. Other Top 10 Golfers Odds: Tim Clarck - 16/1 Chad Campbell - 22/1 Stephen Ames - 25/1 Charley Hoffman - 22/1 Scott Verblank - 25/1 John Mallinger - 25/1 Bob Estes - 33/1 Briny Baird - 33/1 Fredrick Jacobson - 33/1 Nick O'Hearn - 40/1 PGA Tour: Valero Texas Open Picks When: Thurs, May 14-17 Line: Bodog.com Pick: Charlie Wi – 22/1 Point-Spreads.com PGA Tour: Valero Texas Open Picks The Bottom Line: Anthony Kim or Justin Leonard.
