He eventually earned a spot in the U.S. Open after being one of the top four at a qualifying tournament near Memphis. It ensures his streak of playing in 47 consecutive majors, dating back to 1999.
Geoff Ogilvy is still looking for a win in 2011. His best finishes this season was T-4 at the Masters and T-9 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Ogilvy won his first major championship at the 2006 U.S. Open, becoming the first Australian to win a men's golf major since Steve Elkington at the 1995 PGA Championship.
