Jim Furyk won the US Open back in 2003 winning by three strokes. He’s finished second in 2006 and 2007. At last year’s Open Jim came in T-36. In his last five Majors he’s had two Top 10 finishes and he finished T-29 or higher in the remaining three. On Tour this year Jims made 10 of 12 cuts with a second place finish at the Memorial Tournament, a third place finish at the World Golf Championships-CA Championship and four other Top 10 finishes. He currently ranks 7th in scoring average on Tour. When the US Open was at Bethpage Black in 2002 Jim Furyk failed to make the cut.
Geoff Ogilvy won the 2006 US Open by two strokes over Phil Mickelson, Colin Montgomerie and Jim Furyk. Since his win he finished T-42 in 2007 and finished T-9 in 2008. In his last five Major appearances he’s had one Top 10 finish, T-15 at this year’s Masters, two Top 30 finishes and he failed to make the cut at last year’s British Open. On Tour this year he’s made 12 of 12 cuts with two wins, he won the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. He has two Top 10 finishes and three Top 25 finishes. He currently ranks T-20th in scoring average on Tour. He did not play the US Open in 2002 when it was at Bethpage Black.
