US Open 2009 Odds: Two time US Open winner Retief Goosen has been pitted against Wisconsin native Steve Stricker by Bodog.com in the online bookmaker's 2009 US Open head-to-head odds. Goosen, who won his two majors in 2001 and 2004, is listed as a slight underdog to Stricker at -110 moneyline odds.

Retief Goosen is currently 17th on the PGA Tour's money list with a tally of $1,788,640. The South African has played in 11 events this year and missed the cut just once (The Masters) while garnering two top tens and one win. Goosen took first place at the Transitions Championship back in March.
The 40 year old Goosen finished 29th at last weekend's St. Jude Classic and he came in 22nd at THE PLAYERS Championship in May (tied with Stricker). He is presently ranked 142nd in driving accuracy, which could be an issue for him come tomorrow afternoon.
Goosen, who has produced an average finish of 29.6 this season, has seven career PGA wins in 171 events played.
Steve Stricker is having a wonderful 2009 season, presently sitting fifth on the money list with earnings of $3,117,036. The Illinois graduate, who has never won a major, has played in 13 events this year and garnered six top 10 finishes and one win (Crown Plaza Invitational at the Colonial in May). Stricker finished 27th in his last outing, The Memorial Tournament two weekends ago; he did not play in the St. Jude classic.
Stricker, who took sixth place at the Masters this year with an eight under par score of 280, is 45th on the Tour in driving accuracy and third in putts per holes. He comes into tomorrow's tournament sporting a 69.3 scoring average and an average 2009 finish of 11.4.
Stricker is 4-1-1 against Goosen in events that the two players have both played in this year.
The 2009 US Open begins tomorrow morning at 7:00am ET at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. Stricker is set to tee off at 7:44am while Goosen will go off in the afternoon wave at 1:36pm ET.
