2009 British Open Odds: Anthony Kim will take part in his seventh major this weekend when he tees off tomorrow at the Turnberry Resort in Scotland. Kim recorded his best finish in a major when he took seventh place in last year's Open Championship. Bodog.com has the Los Angeles native listed at 33 to 1 to win this weekend's event in the bookmaker's Anthony Kim 2009 British Open Odds. Anthony Kim is set to hit the links at 8:31am ET on Thursday morning with Rory McIlroy and Retief Goosen. Kim, who played college golf at Oklahoma, has participated in 14 PGA events in 2009. His performance has him sitting 26th on the moneylist with a total of $1,486,283. Kim has produced a 70.39 scoring average this year and he is presently ranked second on the Tour in birdies per round (4.17) and fifth in putts per hole (1.723). The 24 year olds best performance of the season came back in January when he placed second at the Mercedes-Benz Championship with a 18-under par score of 274. Kim, who is ranked 15th in the World Golf Rankings, tied for seventh at last year's Open Championship. The top 10 finish was his best showing in a major, his next highest finish coming at the 2009 U.S. Open last month when he took 16th with a 3-over par 283. Kim last played at the AT&T National on July 5th where he took third place. The promising young player has averaged a 10th place finish over his last three events. The Los Angles product has two career wins in 64 PGA tournaments; he has taken second place three times and has finished inside the top 10 fifteen times.
