Woods is a four time winner of the PGA Championship, winning in 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007. Tiger currently has five wins on Tour this year, 70 total wins, and is fresh off winning last week’s WGC - Bridgestone Invitational. He won the 2009 Arnold Palmer Invitational, the 2009 Memorial Tournament, 2009 AT&T National and the 2009 Buick Open. At this year’s Majors Tiger finished T-6 at the 2009 Masters, T-6 at the US Open and he failed to make the cut at the British Open. His last visit to Hazeltine at the 2002 PGA Championship the world No. 1 played "probably one of the all-time greatest shots I've ever hit”. After pulling his drive to the 457-yard 18th he found the ball awkwardly placed in a bunker. Not only that, but there were trees in front of him, the green was 211 yards away, it was uphill and the 30mph wind was left to right. "Both feet were actually up against the lip, both of my heels," he said. Yet despite the ball being below his feet he "absolutely flushed" a towering 3-iron to 12 feet and sank the putt. He ranks 11th in Putting Average on the PGA Tour. Phil Mickelson got his second Major win during the 2005 PGA Championship after winning the Masters the year before. He has seven Top 10 finishes in 16 Championships played. Phil hasn’t been playing much golf lately due to his wife’s illness. He’s played in 13 tournaments this year; made 11 cuts with two wins. He won the 2009 Northern Trust Open and the 2009 WGC-CA Championship along with a T-2 finish at the US Open. Phil is always a favorite, second to Tiger, to win any Major. In the last six Majors he has four Top 10 finishes. He ranks T13th in Putting Average on the PGA Tour. Phil Mickelson is listed at 22/1 odds to win his second PGA Championship. 2009 PGA Championship When: Thurs, August 13-16 8:00 AM ET Line: Bodog.com Pick: Tiger Woods -400 Point-Spreads.com 2009 PGA Championship: Tiger Woods vs Phil Mickelson Prediction The Bottom Line: Tiger is fresh off last week’s win and he’s always a favorite at a Major.
