2010 PGA Championship Predictions: The golf season's last major is set to get underway this week at Whistling Straights in Kohler, Wisconsin. The 92nd PGA Championship could spell an end to Tiger Woods well documented golf woes, but 2010 PGA Championship Predictions at SBGglobal.com are favoring Phil Mickelson to win the tournament at +1200 moneyline odds. Woods, however, is a close second as the online bookmaker has the world's number one golfer at +1300 odds to capture his 15th major championship.
Phil Mickelson, who it was revealed is undergoing treatment for psoriatic arthritis, enters this week's PGA Championship 
ranked third on the Tour's moneylist, despite finishing 48th and 46th in his last two events. Prior to last weekend's World Golf Championships at Firestone and July's Open Championship, Mickelson had recorded four top five finishes in six events played.
Mickelson won his fourth major earlier this year with a 16 under par finish at the Masters in April; he also finished a stellar fourth at the U.S. Open to give him his fifth top 10 result of the season. Lefty will be chasing his second PGA Championship when he tees off tomorrow after winning the tournament at Baltusrol Golf Club in 2005. Mickelson tied for sixth at the 2004 Championship, the last time Whistling Straights hosted the event.
Tiger Woods, who has played in just eight Tour events this season, presently ranks 84th on the moneylist with a total of $825,386. Tiger, other than his performance at the Open Championship last month (23rd), has played his best golf at the majors, finishing fourth at both the Masters and U.S. Open. If Woods is to continue that trend, he will have to overcome his worst finish of the year, an 18 over par tally at Firestone last weekend.
Woods, despite his struggles, has to be considered a factor this week as he has four PGA Championships to his credit and has finished no worse than fourth in the last four PGA's.
