The Detroit Red Wings have surprisingly lost three games in a row after going on an eight game winning streak. This is the third three game losing streak for the Wings this season and they have yet to lose four in a row. Their last loss was to the Anaheim Ducks, 2-3, as home town favorites. Goalie Chris Osgood stopped 16 of 19 shots and is now 22-5-2 with a 2.00 GAA and a .921 SVPCT. He also has three shutouts on the season. The Wings offense is ranked 2ndth. averaging 3.2 GAG, they shoot the puck on net more than any other team in the league and their power play is currently ranked 5

On defense they allow the least amount of goals in the league thanks to their superb goaltending. Chris Osgood’s the hotter of the two goalies but Dominik Hasek is still a great goalie. The top producer for the Wings is Henrik Zetterberg with 70pts and he leads his teammates with 254 shots on net. Pavel Datsyuk is close behind with nineteen goals on the season. The Wings are currently sittin in 1st place in the Central Standings and are 21-6-0-2 at home. They are 29-29 ATS, 23-26-9 over/under and 14-10-5 over/under at home. Get your Free NHL Picks in now!

The Nashville Predators have six wins in their last ten games after their most recent, 6-3 road win, over the Phoenix Coyotes. The Preds got goals from Radek Bonk, David Legwand, Jason Arnott, Jean-Pierre Dumont, Rich Peverley and Martin Gelinas. Goalie Dan Ellis stopped 30 of 33 and is now 13-5-1-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .924 SVPCT. The Preds offense is averaging 2.9 GAG for a 9th ranking and they’re a crazy 25th ranked on their power play. They do, however, get off a lot of shots on net, which they’ll have to utilize against the Wings excellent shot blocking.

On defense the Preds are pretty solid. They allow a low 2.7 GAG thanks to the superb goaltending of Dan Ellis. Starter Chris Mason struggles, but is still solid. He’s currently 16-17-4 with a 2.72 GAA and a .904 SVPCT. They have the 5th best penalty kill in the league. The top producer for the Preds is Jason Arnott with 50pts, a +21 rating and he has the most shots on net out of his teammates.
