The Red Wings recently beat the Thrashers 6-3 on the road thanks to goals from Brian Rafalski, Pavel Datsyuk, Jiri Hudler, Johan Franzen, Marian Hossa and Daniel Cleary. Goalie Chris Osgood stopped 31 of 34 shots for a 24-6-7 record with a 3.14 GAA and a .885 SVPCT. Osgood is 7-3-0 with a 1.60 GAA in his last 10 starts against the Flames, who he hasn't faced this season. The Red Wings offense has a NHL-best 264 goals and have scored 18 times since the loss to the Flames, on March 12. The Wings are 22-10-4-1 on the road where they average 3.32 GAG and give up an average 3.08 GAG. They are 5-0 in their last five road games where they’ve averaged 4.60 GAG and given up an average 1.40 GAG. Detroit to keep pace with San Jose in the West in its push for the conference's best record for a sixth straight season and have the Red Wings closing in on their eighth consecutive Central Division title.

Goalie Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 25 of 28 shots for a 41-18-5 record with a 2.86 GAA and a .904 SVPCT. Starting all but five games this season, Calgary goalie Miikka Kiprusoff could be showing signs of fatigue as he has a 3.95 GAA in nine March starts. He is 2-3-0 with a 3.67 GAA in his last six against Detroit. Since he was acquired from Phoenix on March 4, center Olli Jokinen has eight goals and four assists in eight games for the Flames. They are 3-2 in their last five home games where they’ve averaged 3.60 GAG and given up an average 2.80 GAG.
