The Ducks (34-30-3-5) are losers of six of their last ten games and four of five away from home. They are 11-19-2-3 on the road where they average 2.20 GAG and allow 3.14 GAG. They recently lost in Calgary 1-3 as Scott Niedermayer bagged their lone goal. Goalie Jonas Hiller struggled as he stopped 25 of 28 shots for a 4-6 record during his last ten games with a 3.20 GAA. Overall he’s 29-22-3 with a 2.76 GAA and a .917 SVPCT. Anaheim is nine points out of a playoff spot with only 10 games remaining in the regular season . "We're obviously pretty disappointed," Niedermayer said. "We know the position we're in each night. Those two points are what we need each night. You've got to give the Flames credit. They played a pretty good defensive game and made it tough for us to get chances, but I think we could have done more to create more chances and go to the net a bit more." A team fighting for their lives can be deadly and the Canucks can’t let the Ducks gain momentum. Niedermayer has a goal and three assists in his last three games for Anaheim.

The Canucks (44-25-1-3) have won five of their last ten games three of five on home ice. They are 26-8-1-1 at home where they average 3.50 GAG and allow 2.08 GAG. They recently lost in Edmonton 2-3 despite goals from Mason Raymond and Daniel Sedin. Goalie Roberto Luongo look bad as he struggled to stop 19 of 22 shots, he’s 6-4 in his last ten with a 3.10 GAA. Overall he’s 37-20-3 with a 2.48 GAA and a .915 SVPCT. The Canucks are first in the Northwest and seven points back from first in the West. Despite a tremendous amount of firepower up front, the Canucks haven't scored more than three goals in their last four games . Luongo has got to get into playoff mode as every couple games he sieves out. I made some good saves, but unfortunately I should have had all three of their goals," he said. "I've got to find some consistency in my game. It was a bad game every 12 games or so, but now it is every two or three games. I have to get my swagger back." Canucks forward Daniel Sedin scored his 21st goal of the season and 200th of his NHL career on Tuesday night. He has points in all but one game this month.
