 Colorado Avalanche visit the Minnesota Wild in NHL betting action for Sunday. Since late February, the Avalanche have put together a six-game winning streak and four-game losing streak. The latter was followed up by their current run of two consecutive victories. Colorado chased Roberto Luongo in a 6-3 victory over Vancouver on Wednesday. Peter Forsberg was instrumental in the victory, contributing three assists. The Avalanche are 5-1-0 this season when “Foppa” plays. If he has anything to say about it, Colorado might even make a late push for the Northwest Division title. It beings with this game. Minnesota is barely clinging to its division lead. The Wild haven't been particularly sharp in March, producing a 5-4-4 record; things might look much differently if they could have pulled out a few of those overtime and shoot out losses. After Josh Harding posted back-to-back losses, Minnesota went back to goalie Niklas Backtrom, who was stellar in a 3-1 over Edmonton on Wednesday. The Wild will need more goaltending like that – 32 saves on 33 shots – to hold onto the Northwest Division. The Wild lead the season series 4-2-0.
