The Bruins (34-29-3-9) have won five of ten and three of their last five away from home. They are 18-13-3-3 on the road where they average 2.41 GAG and allow 2.24 GAG. They recently lost to Buffalo 2-3 at home.  They got goals from David Krejci and Dennis Seidenberg. Goalie Tim Thomas was pulled in the second period after giving up three goals on 14 shots. Tuukka Rask stopped all 19 shots he faced in relief. Thomas is 16-18-8 with a 2.55 GAA and a .915 SVPCT and he’ll likely get the start tonight. "You have to try and change the momentum," Julien said of pulling Thomas. "I don't think I have to try and justify anything. Like I said hindsight is 20-20. You look at Timmy's last game. He was extremely good. We expected that tonight." David Krejci has three goals and four assists during a four-game points streak for the Bruins . Zdeno Chara has two goals and three assists during a four-game points streak. Dennis Seidenberg has scored in consecutive games, doubling the defenseman's goal output for the season.

The Devils (44-26-1-4) are winners of five of ten and three of their last five home games. They are 25-10-1-1 at home where they average 3.05 GAG and allow 2.24 GAG. They recently lost in Philadelphia 1-5 as Ilya Kovalchuk bagged their lone goal. Goalie Martin Brodeur was pulled after two periods for Yann Danis who stopped five of six shots. Brodeur will start tonight as he looks to build on his 41-24-4 record along with a 2.37 GAA and a .912 SVPCT. "It always depends on what type of game you had the night before," Coach Jacques Lemaire said. "We played a skating team in Montreal. The game was fast and then you come up with another team that skates well. Your energy is not where it should be and you don't look as good." Ilya Kovalchuk was named Third Star by the NHL for the past week after he had three goals and five assists during a four-game points streak for the Devils. Brian Rolston has a goal and two assists during a three-game points streak. Andy Greene has an assist in three straight games.
