 The NHL regular season is nearly complete but the Edmonton Oilers visit the Vancouver Canucks will duke it out for Northwest Division supremacy. Edmonton got back on track with a 2-1 victory over Calgary on Saturday, but it might need a miracle to squeeze into the postseason. The Oilers have been one of the NHL's hotter teams for the last month or so, rolling up a 13-4-1 record since February 24. Dwayne Roloson has been serviceable since taking over in net for the injured Mathieu Garon. His numbers aren't spectacular by any means, but he is getting wins which is all that matters right now. Vancouver is in a dogfight for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and its play hasn't been particularly inspiring as of late. Sunday's 6-2 romp over Calgary snapped a four-game losing streak in which the team managed just six goals. Obviously, the offense broke out against the Flames, but it will need to continue churning away over these few remaining games. The Sedin twins combined for three points in that last victory and have been playing well lately, combining for 17 points in their last seven games. Edmonton and Vancouver have shared an extremely close season series, with the Canucks leading 4-3. All three losses came in the shootout, so expect another close game.
