The San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames have gone back and forth throughout this grueling NHL Playoffs series, but it all comes down to one game, which takes place at H.P. Pavilion. BetOnline.com has the San Jose Sharks -190 odds favorite against the Calgary Flames +160 with the over/under set at 5 goals.

The Flames were lifted by a 21-shot shutout from Miikka Kiprusoff in Game 6's 2-0 win, but they also played the game they way coach Mike Keenan wants them to play: with hard, physical forechecking. The Flames' forwards, led as usual by captain Jarome Iginla, harassed and hurried the Sharks' defensemen all night long, which led to countless giveaways and scoring opportunities for Calgary. The Flames need to come out with the same fire on Tuesday, and a fast start is essential because the Sharks will have their home fans behind them from the very beginning. An early goal would go a long way to quieting those fans, and planting some self-doubt in the heads of the San Jose players.

Captain Patrick Marleau and Jonathan Cheechoo were non-factors in the Game 6 loss, combining for a single shot on goal and a rating of -1. Marleau was also terrible in the faceoff circle, winning only one of six chances for the Sharks. With the exception of Joe Thornton and Ryane Clowe, who continued his splendid play with a team-high six shots on goal, the Sharks were largely toothless and seemed rattled by the Flames' physical play, as they were outhit 32-14 in Game 6.

The Sharks are -190 home favorites  in this win-or-go-home scenario, but it will be a close call as five games have been decided by one goal, with the other two finishing in a 2-0 shutout (one win for each team). This game will come down to two match-ups: Iginla against Thornton, and Kiprusoff against San Jose counterpart Evgeni Nabokov. In what will be a major upset, the Flames will get an inspirational performance from Iginla, and send the Sharks to another heartbreaking playoff exit. Get your Free NHL Playoffs Pick in Now!
