The San Jose Sharks wrap up a four-game road trip tonight in Dallas. The Sharks are 1-2 on the trip and have played 8 of their first 11 games on the road this season. San Jose has lost their last two games including a 2-1 loss at Columbus on Saturday. Evgeni Nabokov played well, a game after being pulled at Detroit when he allowed four goals. Nabokov had a shutout in his last start at Dallas last season in a 4-0 Sharks win. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking Sharks on the Road.NHL Betting Preview San Jose Sharks (5-5-1) at Dallas Stars (5-3-2) Monday, 8:05 pm Eastern – Versus TV SBG Global Opening Line: Stars -130 , Total 5 Flat Tonight’s game matches up two of the top American born players in NHL history. San Jose’s Jeremy Roenick needs just two goals to become the third American to reach 500 goals. He would be the 40th player in NHL history to reach that mark. His 1,175 points trail only Mike Modano and Phil Housley in points for U.S. born players. Dallas’ Modano has 1,230 career points, two points back of Housley. "It's amazing what he has accomplished. He is a great ambassador for the game," Stars coach Dave Tippett said. "When you think of USA hockey, he is in the forefront of hockey in the U. S." Modano is not the same player as years ago. He is 37 years old and has only four points in 10 games this season. "I'm reminded of the record all the time right now," said Modano, "I'm just concerned about having a positive impact on my team. I have not been going good recently, and need to take little steps before the big ones."
