Sens’ wagon That was a statement game. The Sens had their backs against the wall and heads were about to roll. They came with up with a well played road game against the best team in the conference. Now, I’m not saying they are all the way back. But, a big piece of the puzzle was Ray Emery. He had been hurt and the netminder is now healthy once again. Monitor their odds; they could yield some pretty good paydays in the next few games. Canadiens’ thought The Montreal Canadiens have been without their top scorer Christopher Higgins for a few games now. He is not expected back until mid December or so. In his absence, the Habs have gotten some good production out of rookie Guillaume Latendresse. So what does this mean for bettors? It means that once Higgins is back in the fold, Montreal will have much better scoring depth than they did when he was last playing. Latendresse has finally gained the confidence to produce at this level and he should continue to light it up even after Higgins is back. When Higgins is back, start looking at the over in Montreal games, as well as the over in total team goals- mostly when the number is set at 2.5. It’s ok to bet against Ducks Anaheim started the season on record pace and seemed invincible for a while. However, they are now 6-2-2 in their last 10 games, meaning in essence four losses in regulation/overtime/shootout. We’re talking about a .600 winning percentage for money line bettors, not exactly unbeatable. When the matchup is favorable, don’t be afraid to go against the Ducks, as they are great right now mostly because of the sum of their parts up front and not because of a couple of dominant superstars on defense- although it helps! The growl of the Bear Boston has picked up their play as of late. For a team that started out miserably, they are 5-4-1 in their last ten and yet still getting some good underdog odds on the money line. You can start to believe in them. The goaltending is getting better, their health is improving and they traded for young forward Stanislav Chistov from Anaheim. He recorded an assist in his first game as a Bruin. |
