Kentucky Derby 2010 Contenders:  Thoroughred horse racing fans are beginning to get an idea of what the final field for this years Kentucky Derby will look like. And the list of serious contenders, mostly meaning healthy steed, is taking shape. With the exit of favorite, WinStar Farms' Eskendereya, the leading pre-draw contender appears to be Lookin at Lucky at 3-to-1 odds according to racing odds makers at online race book Bodog.com.

Kentucky Derby 2010 ContendersSired by Smart Strike, Lookin' at Lucky is owned by Michael Pegram, Karl Watson, Paul Weitman and Jonathan Pippin and trained by hall of fame trainer, Bob Baffert.

The horse made his three year old debut with a win in Arkansas at Oaklawn Park in the Rebel Stakes. Unfortunately he wasn't able to repeat in the Santa Anita Derby under Garrett Gomez. Lookin' at Lucky was bumped and almost run into the fence but still managed a third place finish.

Ironically, the horse to win the Santa Anita Derby ahead of Lookin at Lucky, is Sidney's Candy. Tuesday's Bodog.com morning line listed Sidney's Candy at 6-to-1 odds followed by Dublin at 9-to-1.
