2010 Kentucky Derby Odds Super Saver 35 to 1 Derby Predictions: Super Saver will be leaving from the prime 4th post position this Saturday at the 2010 Kentucky Derby. He’s considered the “sleeper” of the Derby. Super Saver could surprise everyone due to the fact that he shows improvement with every single race. He’s also got Calvin Borel as his jockey (who won last year’s Derby). Online racebook BODOG.com has posted horse racing betting odds to win the Kentucky Derby 2010.
Trainer Todd Pletcher commented on Super Saver’s jockey Calvin Borel saying, “I
think Calvin is an exceptional rider anywhere and I think he's maybe five lengths better at Churchill. For whatever reason he's got Churchill Downs figured out. He gets in a zone here and he's an edge. We know the horse likes the track, we know him and Calvin get along well and Calvin has shown he can win the big races. With a guy like that you just kind of leg him up and wish him good luck and hopefully he gets the kind of trip he's capable of getting on the horse."
Super Saver has already won a stakes race at Churchill Downs. He has never been worse than fourth in his six-race career. That fourth place came in the Grade 1 Champagne. Super Saver also proved himself to run good on fast and sloppy tracks, which should be great since gloomy weather is in the forecast.
