2010 Preakness Odds Schoolyard Dreams +1200 Preakness Predictions: Starting from post #2, Schoolyard Dreams is the horse of choice for Saturday’s Preakness, but only if the track stays dry. Luckily, the weather at this point calls for clear skies. Online racebook SPORTSBOOK.com has posted horse racing betting odds to win the 2010 Preakness Stakes.
Schoolyard Dreams did not compete in the Kentucky Derby, which means he’s well
rested for Preakness. He’s been described as an attractive horse to bet on because of his time off. The downside is within the last 20 years only two horses have won Preakness that didn’t race in the Derby. Owner Eric Fein and Trainer Derek Ryan have commented on how Schoolyard Dreams performs better with more time in between races and are confident he’ll do well.
Thursday was the last workout for Schoolyard Dreams before the Preakness. Schoolyard Dreams will be ridden by jockey Eibar Coa. Coa said, "He moved good. The only thing I noticed with him is that he lugged in a little. It was right when he put himself in front, so he's got that kind of habit, I guess. It's about just timing him right in a race, but at least he felt good and I liked the way he worked today. He actually looks like one of those horses that's going to be a better horse in the race than in the mornings. He's more focused when he's got more horses around him. I would say he could be better than Musket Man if he puts everything together."
The 135th Preakness is set for May 15th, 2010 in Baltimore.
