2010 Preakness Odds Yawanna Twist +2500 Preakness Predictions: Yawanna Twist isn’t the favorite for the Preakness Stakes but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have what it takes to compete with the 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver. He'll start from the number 5 post Saturday. Online racebook SPORTSBOOK.com has posted horse racing betting odds to win the 2010 Preakness Stakes.
Yawanna Twist is a lightly raced horse. He only has four starts under his saddle but
enters the Preakness with two consecutive 2nd place finishes. Jockey Edgar Prado will ride Yawanna Twist during the Preakness on Saturday May 15th. Trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. has high hopes for the New York based racehorse. Dutrow said he and the owners Jim Riccio Sr., Jeffrey Bonner, and Frank Argano, would have liked to have run Yawanna Twist in the 2010 Kentucky Derby but knew the Yawanna Twist did not have the sufficient graded stakes earnings to get in. Trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. said, “We've had this on our minds for a while. He's run big every time we've run him, he's never been disappointing. We've always been happy with the horse after his races. I'm happy he ran that big last time. We didn't get the win, but we were happy. If you gave me another second in the Preakness, we'd be disappointed we didn't win, but we'd be very happy with our horse."
Even though solid horses such as Awesome Act and American Lion have beaten Yawanna Twist during his last two races, he did finish higher than Kentucky Derby contender Backtalk in the Illinois Derby.
The 135th Preakness is set for May 15th, 2010 in Baltimore at 6:05 PM.
