2010 Preakness Odds Paddy O’Prado +300 Preakness Picks: Third place finisher at the 2010 Kentucky Derby, Paddy O’Prado is one of the top favorites for the Preakness Stakes this Saturday. Online racebook SPORTSBOOK.com has posted horse racing betting odds to win the 2010 Preakness Stakes.
Paddy O’Prado proved his worth at the Derby and also by finishing in second place 
at the Blue Grass Stakes. Trainer Dale Romans was disappointed with Paddy O’Prado’s Derby performance but is hopeful he’ll place better in Saturday’s race. Romans said, “In the last quarter of a mile, there were a lot of emotions. We finished third but I think we should have been second and, at one point, I thought we were gonna win it. There were a lot of ups and downs in that last quarter mile." In Dale Romans mind he’s already beat Paddy O’Prado’s biggest competition, Super Saver, and commented, “I have watched that race several times and I have not watched a version that changed my opinion any. And, that is not to take anything away from Super Saver, he ran a super race. For us to get stopped and for him to get a clean trip … maybe we do beat him if we get the better trip."
Desormeaux, Paddy O’Prado’s jockey, was criticized after the Derby for not finishing up to the wire. Romans said, "I thought Kent rode a very tactful race. The only problem is what has been documented in the last 100 yards and we have agreed to disagree on that and not talk about it anymore."
Super Saver’s Todd Pletcher knows Paddy O’Prado could give him some competition this time around. Paddy with start the Preakness Stakes at post ten while Super Saver will be set at post number 8. Desormeaux will likely try to get first run in front of Super Saver.
The 135th Preakness is set for Saturday May 15th, 2010 in Baltimore.
