Horse Racing Betting Mr. Hot Stuff 20 to 1 Belmont Odds: The horse racing betting odds experts at online racebook Sportsbook.com have Eoin Harty trained colt, Mr. Hot Stuff, listed at 20 to 1 Belmont odds in the 141st Belmont Stakes. Mr. Hot Stuff lasted raced at the Kentucky Derby where he finished a distant 15th. Mr. Hot Stuff broke his maiden in February of this year at Santa Anita Park in California. After his intial win, the Tiznow sired colt finished third in both the Sham Stakes and the Santa Anita Derby. The Kentucky Derby marked the horses' first run on a dirt track, and the sloppy conditions at Churchill Downs proved to be more than he could deal with. The three year old has been working on the synthetic surface at Keeneland to prep for the Belmont. Harty indicated that the practices have gone well. "He went very well, easy enough, and there was plenty left in the tank," Harty said of the Belmont Bets 1:01 run at Keeneland. "He's fit and ready to go." However, the native of Ireland did not sound as optimistic at the post draw this week. "I have no idea (how he will handle the surface)," Hardy said of Mr. Hot Stuff, who will start the Belmont Stakes from the No. 3 post. "We'll throw him in there and see what happens." Horse racing betting expert Anthony Stabile of VegasInsider.com, however, considers Mr. Hot Stuff more suited for the length of the Belmont, especially considering the stamina his father Tiznow displayed. "[Mr. Hot Stuff] is a horse who should love the distance [at the Belmont]," Stabile said. Two-time Belmont winner, Edgar Prado, will have the mount of Mr. Hot Stuff for Saturday's race. Prado was the jockey on Birdstone's 2004 first place run and also for Sarava's 2002 win. Sportsbook.com Horse Racing Betting Odds: Mr. Hot Stuff 20 to 1 Belmont Odds Mine That Bird 2/3 |
