Internet racebook SportBet.com has the horse Xchanger a 17 to 1 to win the 132nd Preakness Stakes at Pimlico. Xchanger will be ridden by jockey Ramon Dominguez from the second gate. The horse was trained by Mark Shuman.Horse Racing Handicapping Expert Anthony Stabile of VegasInsider.com had this to say about Xchanger, "Another quasi-local, he trains at Fair Hill Training Center and went wired-to-wire in the Federico Tesio last out at Pimlico. Had the earnings to run in the Derby, and would have run if a proposed sale went through that week but it didn't so he ends up here as a new shooter. Won the G3 Sapling and finished third in another pair of G3's, the Nashua and the Delta Jackpot as a two year old. Tried G1 Champagne last year and wasn't around at the end. He tried Curlin two back and got his feelings hurt. Seems to be a cut below and does his best running on what I think will be a crowded front end, so I'll pass." SportBet.com has posted betting odds to win the 132nd Preakness Stakes: XCHANGER: +1700 STREET SENSE: +130 CURLIN: +350 CP WEST: +1750 KING OF THE ROXY: +1300 FLYING FIRST CLASS: +2200 MINT SLEWLEP: +2850 CIRCULAR QUAY: +545 |
