Teuflesberg is 27 to 1 long shot to win Kentucky DerbyOnline racebook BetUS.com has made Teuflesburg a 27 to 1 long shot to win the Kentucky Derby today. Teuflesburg will be ridden by experienced jockey Stewart Elliott and was trained by Jamie Sanders. Stewart Elliott has one prior Kentucky Derby win under his belt back in 2004 when he rode Smarty Jones to victory. It was the first time in twenty five years that a jockey won his debut Derby race.

Horse racing handicapping expert Anthony Stabile of VegasInsider.com had this to say about Teuflesburg, “Couldn’t get the money last out in the Blue Grass despite leading brigade for most of the way in harness horse time. Upset score in Southwest against nothing is his biggest win to date. Got a spot in the gate at the eleventh hour when Cobalt Blue defected. I guess they can blame that colts’ owner, Merv Griffin, when this one gets beat a pole in the Derby. An obvious pass. And I’m sick of hearing about Jamie Sanders too.”
