8. All eyes will be on Street Sense as he attempted to win the second jewel in the Triple Crown of Racing today at Pimlico. Internet racebook BetUS.com has made Street Sense the clear favorite at +140. Derby winning jockey Calvin Borel will be making his debut at the 2007 Preakness Stakes and trainder Carl Nafzger is hoping Street Sense will be able to win, giving him his first winning horse at Preaness and one step closer to the ultimate prize in horse racing, the Triple Crown.
Expert Horse Racing Handicapper Anthony Stabile of VegasInsider.com had this to say about Triple Crown contender Street Sense, "If you read the Derby breakdown, I told you I dreamt he won the Derby. In reality, his win was an absolute nightmare for me because I hated him. But I'll give credit when it's due. Nafzger did a tremendous job getting him ready off just two preps and Borel rode him like he owned him. Fortunately for them, everything worked out perfectly. They couldn't have scripted the Derby better. He passed horses in bunches along the inside while receiving an usher trip up the rail that usually was reserved in racing for Jerry Bailey. I don't think things could possibly go as well for him again. There will be more horses on the lead, meaning more horses backing up, meaning more horses to have to navigate through. Plus, I've said it before, the best thing for a closer is to have one horse set a fast pace, not a bunch. There is some cheap, cheap speed in here that can hurt his chances, especially if Calvin looks to come up that rail again. Plus, in my humble opinion, I think he's a big time horse for the course that adores Churchill, a track most horses hate. With all that said, if he manages to win the Preakness, I'll be his biggest champion because he'll have made me a believer. But at even money or less, I'll take my chances against him winning it. I'm using him in all my exotics but wouldn't be completely shocked if circumstances keep him out of the number. That's what I'm hoping anyway."
"Street Sense has proven he can kick it up a notch even when trailing from behind by almost every horse in a race," stated Steve Hastings of Point-Spreads.com.  "I like the number 8 horse to win today and to capture the Triple Crown of Racing."
