Here’s something you normally don’t see in a BCS bowl game, the Cincinnati Bearcats. The 2009 Orange Bowl features the No. 12 Cincinnati Bearcats vs. No. 19 Virginia Tech Hokies. The 2008 Big East champion, Cincinnati had a dream season going 11-2 SU and 6-6 ATS and closed off the regular season going 6-0 SU and 4-2 ATS. The current point spreads show Cincinnati -2 point favorites at Sportsbook.com."The opening line for the game had the Cincinnati Bearcats -2.5 points over the Virginia Tech Hokies," stated Point-Spreads.com Publisher Thomas Jensen. "Cincinnati had some hotel/party distractions down in South Beach and moved hotels to escape Diddy's entourage at the Fountain Bleu. I think the focused Virginia Tech Hokies want revenge from their loss to Kansas in the 2008 Orange Bowl and they should get it this year against the Big East Champs." Bet on the 2009 Orange Bowl at Sportsbook.com. The last January bowl game the Bearcats were in was the International Bowl two seasons ago, where they won 27-24 but failed to cover as 7-point favorites. Virginia Tech, on the other hand, is a BCS regular, most recently taking part in last year’s Orange Bowl getting handed a SU and ATS loss against Kansas with a 24-21 final. The betting public likes Cincinnati in this one, but only marginally, as 57% of the College Football Bowl Game wagers at Sportsbook.com are on the Bearcats. |
