Texas Tech vs Houston College Football Picks, College Football Predictions & College Football Odds: The Big 12's Texas Tech Red Raiders will take on the Conference USA's Houston Cougars tomorrow night at Robertson Stadium in Houston. The Cougars jumped into the rankings two weeks ago by getting the better of another Big 12 school, the Oklahoma State Cowboys, in Stillwater. Tomorrow evening's game is set to kickoff at 9:15pm ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN2. College Football Picks at SBGglobal.com have the Cougars listed as a -1 against the spread home favorite.

Mike Leach's Red Raiders fell to 2-1 last weekend, losing 24-34 to the Longhorns at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. TexasTexas Tech vs Houston College Football Picks, Predictions & Odds Tech played a decent game as they had more first downs and more yardage than Texas, but they were undone by three turnovers, 11 penalties, and a non-existent run game (-6 rush yards). Quarterback Taylor Potts played well in his first start in a hostile environment, completing 46-of-62 passes for 420 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.

The fact that the Red Raiders moved the ball was no surprise, they usually do, but it was their defensive effort that turned some heads. Tech held the Longhorns to 340 yards and a 3.3 yards per carry average. Colt McCoy struggled, throwing for 205 yards and two interceptions and he ran for just five yards in eight carries against the Raiders.

The No. 17 Cougars had last weekend off, but they improved to 2-0 on September 12th by beating Oklahoma State 45-35 at Boone-Pickens Stadium in Stillwater. Houston racked up 32 first downs and 512 yards in the win. Quarterback Case Keenum, who will be a household name by the end of this season, threw for 366 yards and three touchdowns in the upset victory. Keenum distributed the ball amazingly well as five different receviers had five or more catches.

The Cougars defense held the Cowboys high-powered offense somewhat in check with its opportunistic play. The Pokes still had 27 first downs and 434 yards, but three lost fumbles and a pick six by Houston cornerback Jamal Robinson late in the fourth quarter sealed their fate.

These two offenses should put plenty of points on the board tomorrow night as they are averaging a combined 998 yards and 89 points per game.

College Football Picks Betting Trend: The Cougars are 9-1 straight up in their last 10 games as a home favorite with a total of 54.5 or more.
