Boston College vs Virginia Tech College Football Predictions, College Football Picks & College Football Odds: The Boston College Eagles will take on the Virginia Tech Hokies today in Blacksburg in a battle between the ACC Atlantic and Coastal divisions. A victory for the Eagles will likely earn them some legitimacy and a spot in the Top 25. Kickoff is set for 12:00pm ET at Lane Stadium (ESPN360.com). The Eagles come into today's meeting with the Hokies sporting a 4-1 record and a 2-1 conference tally. Boston College is also coming off of back-to-back conference wins at home, beating Wake Forest 27-24 in overtime on September 26th and getting past Florida State 28-21 last Saturday. The wins were surprising given the ugly nature of the Eagles loss at Clemson on September 19th. Frank Spaziani's squad failed to amass 100 yards of offense in that game, prompting many to wonder if a spot at the bottom of the Atlantic division was inevitable.

Spaziani, however, rallied the troops and things look much different for the Eagles right now.

"We're a work in progress...but we've come a long way from that performance (at Clemson)," Spaziani said.

The Hokies have strung together four straight wins since their season opening loss to Alabama, and the last two victories have come at the expense of ACC competition. Virginia Tech returned Miami to earth on September 26th, pounding the Hurricanes 31-7. Last week the Hokies flirted with disaster for a portion of their contest with Duke, but Frank Beamer's bunch survived a game Blue Devils team, winning 34-28 in Durham.

Running back Josh Oglesby expects the same kind of effort from Boston College today, especially considering the fact that the Eagles have lost the last two ACC Championships to Virginia Tech.

"Whenever you're back-to-back ACC Champions everybody's gunning for you," Oglesby said.
