Oregon vs UCLA College Football Picks, College Football Predictions & College Football Odds: The Oregon Ducks have a shot at the Pac-10 lead today, they just need to get by UCLA in Pasadena and have the Stanford Cardinal, yes, that Stanford Cardinal, fall against Oregon State. The Bruins are a ways back in the conference standings, but by no means out of the race as this afternoon's contest will be just their second Pac-10 game of the season. Kickoff in this critical league meeting is set for 3:30pm ET at the Rose Bowl; the game will be broadcast live on ABC. Chip Kelly's first season as the Ducks head coach got off to an ugly start as his team fell by a score of 19-8 to Boise State in Idaho. Of course, the game, and the team, was also marred by running back LaGarrette Blount's behavior after the loss. Kelly, however, pulled things together and that night now seems like a distant memory. Oregon has reeled off four straight wins since then, including two straight over conference opposition, to move to No. 16 in the latest polls.

The Ducks pasted Washington State 52-6 last Saturday, a week after shellacking California 42-3. All of Oregon's wins have come at home, though, and today's meeting with the Bruins will be their first road outing since the loss at Boise.

Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, who has been instrumental in Oregon's winning play, left the game against the Cougars with a knee injury. His status for today's game is uncertain. Nate Costa replaced Masoli against Wazzu, completing 7-of-9 passes for 80 yards and rushing six times for 26 yards and a score. He will fill in for Masoli against the Bruins if the junior passer is unable to play.

The Bruins suffered their first loss of the season last weekend, losing 24-16 at Stanford. UCLA rallied late to draw within eight of the Cardinal, but they were unable to close the gap on Jim Harbaugh's squad. Quarterback Kevin Craft completed 22-of-34 passes for 204 yards in the loss, leading the Bruins to 299 total yards and 20 first downs. Craft has been filling in for the injured Kevin Prince, but Prince will probably be ready for action against the Ducks tonight. The redshirt freshman has not played since breaking his jaw in a 19-15 win at Tennessee on September 12th.

Rick Neuheisel's team can improve to 4-1 overall and even their conference record at 1-1 with a victory against Oregon today.

College Football Picks Betting Trend: UCLA is 1-4 against the spread and 0-5 straight up in their last five games as a home dog against a Pac-10 foe with a spread between 4 and 7.5.
