Broncos vs Chargers Monday Night Football Odds: The San Diego Chargers will attempt to stay in the AFC West race tonight as they host the unbeaten Denver Broncos. A Denver win would move the Bronocs record to 6-0 and give them a three game lead in the standings over the second place Chargers. Kickoff in this significant AFC battle is set for 8:30pm ET at Qualcomm Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on ESPN's Monday Night Football. Broncos Breakdown: Denver ran its record to 5-0 last weekend, beating the New England 20-17 in overtime at Mile High Stadium. The Broncos defense continued to impress as the Pats scored all 17 points in the first half. The unit, which recorded just one sack, managed to hold New England to 305 total yards and a 3.6 yards per carry average. Most impressive, though, was the fact that four of the Patriots six second half possessions ended with a punt. The remaining two drives resulted in a fumble and a missed field goal.  

The Broncos offense, meanwhile, racked up 424 yards and 27 first downs while holding the ball 36:29. Quarterback Kyle Orton had another stellar outing, completing 35-of-48 passes for 330 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Wide receivers Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall combined for 18 receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie running back Knowshon Moreno carried the ball 21 times for 88 yards in the win.

Chargers Breakdown: San Diego, which is coming off a bye, fell to 2-2 on October 4th with a 28-38 loss to the Steelers at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh dominated most of the game but the Chargers did put together a furious fourth quarter rally to draw within 10 points. Quarterback Phillip Rivers, who sparked the late run, completed 21-of-36 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Tight end Antonio Gates was also a major player in the failed comeback, catching nine balls for 124 yards. Gates also reeled in two second half touchdown passes. San Diego finished the game with a meager 251 yards of offense as the ground game produced just 16 yards against the Steelers stout defense.

The Chargers defense had a long flight home from the Steel City as they yielded 32 first downs, eight third down conversions, and 497 yards to Pittsburgh's offense. The Steelers were also 5-for-5 in red zone opportunities and possessed the ball 40:20.
