NFL Week 8 Predictions: There are five big time match ups in the NFL this weekend, four of which could have a significant impact on division races. The Dolphins and Jets meet in the Meadowlands, the Giants and Eagles square off in Philly, the Falcons and Saints face each other on Monday Night Football, and, of course, the Vikings visit the Packers at Lambeau. For odds on these games and all the NFL Week 8 Predictions go to Bookmaker.com today. New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles (-3): The Giants are currently in first place with a 5-2 record but they have dropped NFL Week 8 Predictions Betting Trend: Philadelphia is 9-1 straight up in their last 10 games as a home favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5 in the month of October. Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers (-3): Aside from the whole Brett Favre returning to Lambeau thing (and yes, that is a big deal), this game also has plenty of importance as far as the NFC North race is concerned. The Vikings, at 6-1, will maintain their lead regardless of what happens, but a Packers win definitely puts Green Bay within striking distance and it evens the season series between the two rivals. The big surprise heading into this game is the way the Packers defense is playing. Granted, since their 23-30 loss at Minnesota the Packers have faced Detroit and Cleveland, but they allowed just three points combined in those two games. Statistically, Green Bay's defense is better than Minnesota's, allowing 16 points and 271.5 yards per game compared to 21.1 points and 330 yards per contest for the Vikings. NFL Week 8 Predictions Betting Trend: Green Bay is 9-1 straight up in their last 10 games as a home favorite versus NFC North opposition.
