Breeders Cup Bets: Regal Ransom 25 to 1 Breeders Cup Odds: The Distorted Humor sired colt Regal Ransom has been installed at 25 to 1 betting odds by online racebook BetUS.com to win tomorrow's Breeders Cup Classic. The annual event is scheduled to get underway at 6:45pm ET at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California; it will be broadcast live on ESPN. Saturday will mark the 26th running of the race, which first took place at Hollywood Park in November of 1984.

Tomorrow's race will be just the sixth of the year for Regal Ransom. The three year old has had mixed Grade I results, finishing eighth at the Norfolk Stakes at the Oak Tree at Santa Anita in September of last year and at this year's Kentucky Derby. Ransom has run just once since falling short at Churchill Downs, taking first place in the Grade II Super Derby at the Louisiana Downs in September. 

Despite Regal Ransom's varied results, trainer Saeed bin Suroor thinks his horse can be a factor if the race goes a certain way.

"It depends on how the pace goes," bin Suroor said. "If they go a nice pace and he sits in nice position, I think he will be happy with this. He's improving all the time; he's in good form and working well."

Sitting atop Regal Ransom tomorrow will be 45 year old New York jockey Richard Migliore. The pair are starting the race from the No. 11 post position. Migliore, who has 15 Breeders' Cup starts in his career, rode Ransom to the win at the Super Derby. His lone victory at the Breeders' Cup came last year when he guided Desert Code to first place in the Turf Sprint.
