Online Sports Betting Giant VIP leaves US Market

Online Sports Betting Giant VIP leaves US MarketThe United States has created another casualty in their "War on Online Gambling" this week. The management behind such popular brands as VIP, Nine & BetGameDay has decided to pull the plug on all new US players. The company has been having issues recently with payment processors which has led them to this decision. At the time this article went to press, Point-Spreads.com believed that VIP was unable to expand into the international marketing due to obligations within the company's sales agreement with Leisure & Gaming, however after speaking directly with management, we were told that was a mistake.  VIP and it's various brands can go after international sports bettors.

Here is information from a recent press release the company sent out to affiliates and advertising venues:

US Customers
Effective immediately, we will no longer accept new customers from the United States. Long standing premium customers have contributed to our success over the years, and we intend to increase our service commitment to them – exclusive focus on preferred existing customers.

Canadian Customers
We will no longer accept deposits from Canadian players effective immediately. Canadian customers will maintain access to their account until April 1, 2007. Any current balance in the account may continue to be used until that date, at which point any remaining funds will be refunded to the player and their account will be closed.
