UFC 108 Odds: "Suga" Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva will headline tonight's UFC 108 event, which is scheduled to get underway at 10:00pm ET at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (Live Pay-Per-View). The former champion Evans is looking to regain his crown, but he will have to dispose of one of the light heavyweight division's top contenders in Silva in order to get that chance. Also on this evening's 10 fight card is a heavyweight batte between Junior Dos Santos and Gilbert Yvel and a welterweight clash between Paul Daley and Dustin Hazelett. UFC 108 Odds and UFC 108 Picks at online sportsbook Bodog.com have Rashad Evans listed as a -200 moneyline favorite in tonight's main event. Rashad Evans, fresh off his stint as coach on TUF season 10, comes into this evening's fight with an 18-1-1 MMA record. Evans, who was suppose to fight Quinton "Rampage" Jackson back in November (Jackson backed out of the fight for a role in the upcoming A-Team movie), suffered his first career loss the last time he entered the Octagon. Current champion Lyoto Machida scored a devastating knock out of Evans in May of 2009, ruining the Michigan State grads first title defense. The 30 year old Evans, despite wanting to settle his on-going grudge match with Jackson, has his heart set on another meeting with Machida. However, he knows overcoming Silva will be a major feat in itself. "This is my first step in getting my title back," Evans said. "Thiago is a dangerous fighter standing up and on the ground and I always relish an opportunity to fight the best and put on a great show for fans." Thiago Silva , like Evans, has just one career loss and, again, like Evans, that loss came at the hands of Lyoto Machida. The 27 year old Silva, who has a 14-1 career record and a 5-1 tally inside the Octagon, was knocked out by his fellow Brazilian in January of last year. He has fought once since that setback, smashing Evan's good friend and teammate, Keith Jardine, at UFC 102 in August. Silva needed just 1:35 to dispose of the "Dean of Mean", giving him his fourth (T)KO stoppage in the UFC. Silva, who has not had a single fight inside the Octagon go the distance, is anxious for his first title shot. And his comments would indicate he believes that may be in order after tonight. "I feel the bigger the fight, the better I do," Silva said. "Being in the main event for a UFC card has always been a goal of mine. Rashad is a great fighter, but he'd better come prepared in all aspects of mixed martial arts."
