He rebounded from that defeat, though, by scoring a unanimous decision win over Dan Miller at UFC 109: Relentless. Five of Maia's six UFC wins have come via submission.
B.J. Penn, like Silva, has dominated his weight class, successfully defending his lightweight crown three times in the past two years. Penn last fought in December when he got a TKO win over top contender Diego Sanchez. Prior beating Sanchez, the Hawaii native scored a submission victory over Kenny Florian, leaving serious doubts if there is a 155lbs. fighter that can challenge him.
However, Frankie Edgar might be the answer, which is fitting since the New Jersey native goes by the moniker "The Answer". Edgar possesses an 11-1 MMA record and he is 6-1 in the UFC, knocking off top challengers Tyson Griffin and Spencer Fisher as well as former champ Sean Sherk.
