UFC 114 Betting Odds

by Matt Foust on Friday, May 28th, 2010

UFC 114 Betting Odds: The UFC will host its 114th event this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight card is being headlined by a light heavyweight battle between bitter rivals Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and "Suga" Rashad Evans. The undercard features a number of intriguing fights as well as, with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Amir Sadollah, Michael Bisping, Dan Miller, Diego Sanchez, and Todd Duffee all in action. UFC 114 Betting Odds at online sportsbook BetUS.com have both Jackson and Evans listed at -115 on the moneyline in their main event clash.

Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans were scheduled to fight at the end of The Ultimate Fighter Season 10, where they servedUFC 114 Betting Odds as opposing coaches, but Jackson, instead, signed on to play B.A. Baracus in the upcoming "A-Team" movie. The unexpected move put the former light heavyweight champion on outs with UFC President Dana White and the much anticipated grudge match with Evans in jeopardy. However, all has been made well and the two combatants will finally square off in the Octagon on Saturday night.

While there have been plenty of UFC fighters that disliked each other, the Quinton Jackson/Rashad Evans fued is, perhaps, the most heated in the history of the organization. The two could hardly stomach being in the same room together during the filming of TUF and they repeatedly had to be separated after vitriolic verbal sparring matches.

The winner of the fight will go on to face newly crowned champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, but MMA fans can rest assured neither Jackson or Evans will be thinking about that when they get together this weekend. This fight is personal. Just ask Evans.

"I hate his ass," Evans said. "I don't like him and I'll never like him."

Or Jackson.

"I'm fighting this guy because I want to teach guys like this a lesson to keep his mouth shut when you ain't on the same level as the next man," Jackson said. "That's the motivation for this fight…it's like a (moral) victory."

UFC 114 can be seen live on Pay-Per-View at 10:00pm ET. Two of the preliminary fights will air free on SPIKE TV at 9:00pm ET.
