UFC 115 Betting Odds

by Matt Foust on Thursday, June 10th, 2010

UFC 115 Betting Odds: The UFC returns to action this Saturday with an 11 fight card at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. UFC 115 will be headlined by a clash between former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell and former middleweight belt holder Rich Franklin. The event can be seen live on Pay-Per-View at 10:00pm ET. UFC 115 Betting Odds at online sportsbook BetUS.com have Franklin listed as a -145 moneyline favorite in the light heavyweight battle.

It has been over a year since Chuck Liddell has stepped into the Octagon, but given the former champion's recent track UFC 115 Betting Oddsrecord, the long layoff may be a good thing. Liddell has lost four of his last five fights, including two in a row to Rashad Evans and current belt holder Mauricia Rua. The 40 year old's last win came in December of 2007 when he scored a unanimous decision over Wanderlei Silva.

However, after a recent stint on Dancing With The Stars  and his second go round as coach on The Ultimate Fighter, Liddell appears to be rejuvenated. He certainly looks to be in better shape than at any point in recent memory as internet photos show the California native looking ripped. Now the only question remaining is whether or not the long layoff helped bring a little substance back to what was becoming a very suspect chin. Three of Liddell's last four losses were by KO or TKO, including a devatating blast courtesy of Evans.

Rich Franklin, who stepped in for the injured Tito Ortiz to coach at the end of TUF 11 and now to face Liddell, has fallen on hard times recently as well. Franklin last saw action when he got knocked out by Vitor Belfort (round one 3:02) in September of last year. And, while he beat Wanderlei Silva prior to that, he also lost a controversial decision to Dan Henderson last January.

Both fighters appear to be in the twilight of their careers, but they have also expressed a desire to make one more run at a title. Obviously someone's hopes will be derailed this Saturday when the two legends throw down in Vancouver.
