UFC 100 Odds: Raising MMA star Jon Jones will take on the always tough Jake O'Brien in tonight's UFC 100 11 fight card. The two light heavyweights are vying to be contenders for the belt Lyoto Machida currently holds. Jones, who many consider to be the next big thing in the division, is a heavy -400 moneyline favorite in BetUS.com's UFC 100 Odds: Jon Jones vs Jake O'Brien UFC 100 Picks. Jon Jones, the 21 year old phenom from Endicott, New York, has generated a great deal of buzz with his first two UFC performances. Jones took out Andre Gusmao in a sensational debut, scoring a unanimous decision victory at UFC 87 last August. He followed that outing up with an equally impressive unanimous decision win against Stephan Bonnar in January. Bonnar was fighting for the first time in almost 15 months due to a knee injury, but Jones controlled the veteran the entire fight, sending a clear message that he will be a major force sooner rather than later. The 6'4" Jones, who has an 8-0 professional record, is usually reserved, but his belief in his skills cannot be missed. "I'm extremely confident," said the former JUCO national wrestling champion. "I've been training really, really hard and I feel like I deserve to win this fight because I've done everything right. I'm just excited to go out there and seize another opportunity to make it towards the top." Jake O'Brien, despite his 11-2 record, has flown under the radar most of his career. Recent back to back losses against Andrei Arlovski and Cain Velasquez did not help the former heavyweight. However, the 24 year old O'Brien is hoping his recent switch to light heavyweight will bring him out of the shadows. The former Purdue wrestler made a good step in the right direction when he beat Christain Wellisch at UFC 94 in January. A win over Jones, however, would definitely put him on the map. O'Brien feels confident he can do just that. "I'm excited to fight him," O'Brien said regarding his UFC 100 Odds antagonist. "He's got a big name right now and a lot of hype about him, so I'm in a no lose situation. Everybody thinks it's just a win for him, so there's no pressure, and I'm excited to get another upset." The Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada will serve as backdrop for tonight's epic UFC 100. The huge event, which features heavyweight and welterweight title fights, is scheduled to get underway at 10:00pm ET; it can be seen live on Pay-Per-View.
