The UFC 74 heavyweight title match between Gabriel Gonzaga vs Randy Couture takes place tonight on pay-per-view with the event starting at 8 PM EST live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The main fight on the card has Randy Couture defending his UFC heavyweight championship belt against challenger Gabriel Gonzaga.
Couture came out of retirement to dominate Tim Sylvia for five rounds to win the title earlier this year. The win shocked many UFC fans but Randy seems to always do well when he is underestimated. Gabriel Gonzaga is undefeated with a 4-0 UFC record which includes a win over Mirko Cro Cop. Gonzaga knocked Cro Cop out with a kick to the head rendering the former PRIDE star unconscious. Couture is going to have his hands full tonight as Gabriel has great ground skills and great striking.
Randy Couture will have the fans in his corner but he will need more than their support if he is going to remain the heavyweight champions at the conclusion of UFC 74 .
