The 6’2” 205lb Chuck Liddell got a huge win over the hated Wanderlei Silva in UFC 79. It took three rounds and a Unanimous Decision for Chuck to get the victory. In the first round Liddell had Silva hurt with a punch. He went in to finish but Silva stunned him back. This would happen a few times in the round. The second round had Silva swinging and connecting, Liddell drops to the mat. Chuck got up and proceeded to go after Silva, he split Silva’s eye and it started bleeding badly. Both fighters continue swinging and landing. It was a great second round. In the third it’s the same thing with both fighters swinging and connecting, but with 45 seconds left Silva misses with a big overhand right. Liddell takes Silva down with 17 seconds left to likely secure the final round and the fight as a whole. This was a big win as Chuck lost a disappointing fight to Keith Jardine at UFC 76 and at UFC 71 when he lost the belt to Quinton Jackson. Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans UFC 88 Prediction in now

Thoughts on his opponent Rashad Evans – I'm excited to have this Rashad fight back on – I’m going to put pressure on him and put him down, because, unfortunately everyone has to have their first loss. It's been a white since I fought on the East coast, so I'm looking forward to going out there and giving this knockout to Atlanta.

The 5’11” 205lb Rashad Evans is 6-0-1 since winning the Ultimate Fighter reality show. He recently beat Michael Bisping at UFC 78 by Split Decision. The first round was a bore as Evans had Bisping on the mat for most of the round. The second was better with Rashad landing five hard right hands. Bisping landed a very good knee to Rashad’s mid-section and scored a takedown of his own as the horn sounded. This was a very close round. The third round had both fighters exhausted with minimal punches thrown, but Evans managed to get more take downs in the final minutes to secure the win. There is one fight that ended in a draw which shouldn’t have. At UFC 73 Evans squared off against Tito Ortiz. Evans was the clear winner as he made Tito look old and useless, but the judges didn’t seem to think so and it was declared a draw.

Thoughts on his opponent Chuck Liddell - I think he’s a legend. No one has dominated a weight class for as long as he did, and when he went on that seven fight win streak, just knocking people out, that was very impressive and you can never take that away from a fighter. I think he solidified himself in the sport by doing that. But I’ve always said that I wanted to be the best and that I wanted to leave my mark in this sport. The only way you can do that is by facing the best. I’m not a fighter who wants to fill himself with false hope that I’m something that I’m not. I think I’m the best, so I’m gonna go out there, fight the best, and test myself. Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans UFC 88 Prediction in now
