Matt Hamil unloaded grenades on Bisping's face the entire first round giving the Brit cuts under both eyes. With about thirty seconds left, Bisping began to get re-energized but it was not enough to keep Hamil from winning the first round.
Hamil continued to use strikes instead of getting Bisping on the ground where Matt could do damage. Matt was very confident to duke it out toe to toe with a striker like Bisping until two minutes left in round two when he went for the takedown. While Hamil got him down, he did not try to keep Michael Bisping there. The round continued with the two exchanging strikes back and forth and the round was too close to call.
The third round of the UFC 75 bout was all Bisping as Hamil appeared to gas out in the end.
