Evan Dunham may be the most dangerous fighter no one has ever heard of as he enters this evening's scrap with Sherk a 
perfect 11-0. The Eugene, Oregon native is also 4-0 in the UFC with wins over Per Eklund, Marcus Aurelio, Efrain Escudero, and Tyson Griffin.
Dunham, despite scoring a split decision victory over Griffin in his last fight, was in top form against the Xtreme Couture fighter, displaying some tremendous striking skills as well as a solid ground game.
Dunham, who holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is the type of well-rounded fighter that could give Sherk trouble, even though the latter will have an edge in the experience and strength departments.
Sherk, who last fought in May of 2009, has been plagued by injuries over the last year and a half, but he will finally get an opportunity to step back in the Octagon this evening. The "Muscle Shark" owns an impressive 37-4-1 record, but he has lost two of his last three fights, falling to former champion BJ Penn and current champion Frankie Edgar.
Despite those setbacks, Sherk, who held the lightweight title back in 2006, has wins over some of the division's best in Kenny Florian and Nick Diaz.
Sherk, who admitted that he took this fight without even knowing who Dunham was at the time of the offer, now knows he will have his work cut out for him tonight.
"I've heard some good things about him, and I don't see a whole lot of open, weak areas," Sherk said. "I know the kid's tough."
UFC 119 is scheduled to get underway at 10:00pm ET tonight and can be seen live on Pay-Per-View.
