Tonight at 10:00pm ET at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada the UFC will hold its 106th event. What is being billed as UFC 106: Ortiz vs Griffin 2 features a 10 fight card that will be highlighted by a throwdown between former light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin. Also on the ticket is a clash between top welterweight contenders Josh Koscheck and Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. UFC 106 Odds at BetUS.com have Johnson listed as a slight -120 moneyline favorite against the veteran Koscheck.

Anthony Johnson enters this evening's fight with a 8-2 professional record. The Dublin, Georgia native last fought on UFC 106 Odds: Josh Koscheck vs Anthony Johnson UFC 106 PicksOctober 24th when he scored a first round TKO against Yoshiyuki Yoshida at 0:21 in the first round. The quick victory was Johnson's fifth win as a UFC fighter (his third in a row), all of them coming via TKO or KO.

Johnson, who failed to make weight against Yoshida, has beaten some difficult competition inside the Octagon, such as Kevin Burns and Luigi Fioravanti; however, Koscheck is probably his toughest opponent to date. The 25 year old inidicated he cannot wait to test himself against the former college wrestler.

"I'm very excited," Johnson said. "This match is going to be like a chess match. We'll see [what happens]."

Josh Koscheck, who hails from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, comes into this welterweight conflict with a 15-4 MMA record. The 31 year old has been somewhat inconsistent of late, going 2-2 in his last four fights, but he is coming off a decisive first round TKO win against Frank Trigg. Koscheck, who also owns a TKO win over Yoshiyuri Yoshida, lost to Paulo Thiago prior to his meeting with Trigg.

Koscheck indicated earlier this week that he feels he can control this fight, regardless of what kind of battle it turns into.

"I'm confident that I'm going to push the pace of this fight," Koscheck said. "If I have to stand and bang to make this an exciting fight, I'm willing to do that. If I have to wrestle, I'll wrestle. Whatever I have to do to push the pace and make him work, I'll do."
