UFC 107 Odds: The undercard in tonight's UFC 107 promotion includes a welterweight clash between UFC veteran Jon Fitch and dangerous newcomer Mike Pierce. The event, which will take place at the FedEX Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, is scheduled to get underway at 10:00pm ET and can be seen live on Pay-Per-View. Jon Fitch is, perhaps, the most lethal fighter in the welterweight divison outside of champion Georges St. Pierre. The former 
Purdue wrestler has a 23-3 professional record and he is 10-1 inside the Octagon, the lone loss coming against St. Pierre in August of last year. Fitch had won 16 consecutive fights prior to the GSP defeat, eight of those coming against UFC competitors.
The 31 year old Fort Wayne, Indiana native last fought in July when he dominated Paulo Thiago at UFC 100. Fitch scored a unanimous decision victory over the Brazilian, giving him his second win in as many fights since facing St. Pierre.
Fitch, who has recorded wins over Thiago Alves, Diego Sanchez, and Luigi Fioravanti, expects a game Pierce when the two lock horns this evening.
"He's a tough wrestler, strong, and has a lot of power on his punches," Fitch said. "He's not as well-rounded as I am, but he's really good at what he does."
Mike Pierce, who hails from Vancouver, Washington, has fought just two times inside the Octagon, but he emerged victorious on both occasions. The 29 year old scored a third round TKO against Justin Haskins in his WEC debut and followed that up with a unanimous decision UFC win against Brock Larson in September. The 5'8" Pierce, who has a 9-2 professional record, has won six straight heading into tonight's dust up with Fitch.
Pierce would move quickly up the welterweight ranks with a win over Fitch, but he has been mindful not to put the cart before the horse.
"He's (Fitch) pretty well-rounded, he's got a good wrestling game and ground game, and pretty good standup," Pierce said. "I'm gonna be forced to use a more complete fighting game…I'm looking forward to the fireworks."
