With UFC 99 about to start, the UFC Predictions Experts at Point-Spreads.com have decided to release several winning UFC 99 picks for UFC betting odds enthusiasts and MMA bettors to get down on some solid UFC prop bets before the first fight. UFC 99 starts at 3 PM EST live on Pay Per View from Cologne, Germany. Before making your next wager, make sure to compare MMA odds.

"Silva has excellent Muay Thai skills with his ability to deliver knees, elbows, kicks and punches with great power," stated Fight Picks Expert Brad Marchetti of VegasSharps.com when asked to comment on the UFC 99 prop bets. "Silva also has some solid jiu-jitsu ability but he has neglected it in recent bouts. Silva has taken a lot of punishment in his career and his reflexes and punch resistance is only average at this point."

The UFC 99 betting odds at internet sportsbook Bodog.com for the main event between Rich Franklin vs Wanderlei Silva have UFC predictions on Franklin listed as a -170 odds. This line opened with Silva as a -105 favorite, however tons of money has poured in on Franklin making him a very heavy favorite.

"The one question mark in Franklin’s game is his lack of jiu-jitsu ability which could hurt him against Silva," Marchetti said.

The UFC 99 picks odds for the Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic vs Mustapha Al-Turk have moved considerable from their original opening number of Cro Cop -550 betting odds. The current UFC betting odds have Cro Cop listed at -350 odds with heavy betting action pouring in on the underdog Mustapha Al-Turk.

Today at Lanxess Arena will mark the first time that the Ultimate Fighting Championship has fought on mainland Europe, all other fights have taken place in either Ireland or the United Kingdom. Bet on UFC 99 at internet sportsbook Bodog.com and receive a 10% Cash Deposit Bonus today!

UFC 98 Predictions, Picks & UFC Odds: "Sugar" Rashad Evans and Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida's light heavyweight title match is the headliner in tonight's UFC 98 fight card. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00pm ET at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 98 Predictions at online bookmaker Sportsbook.com have the challenger, Lyoto Machida, listed as a -200 money line UFC 98 odds favorite in this evening's feature fight.UFC 98 Predictions

Rashad Evans probably knows how it feels to be underappreciated, it is as if people just expect him to lose. The 29 year old is undefeated in 19 professional MMA fights, but it seems as if he is always the underdog. That may have something to do with his fighting style, which is often a feeling out process that can make Evans look as if he is about to bow out at a moments notice.

A perfect example of this was Evans' title match against Forrest Griffin at UFC 92. Griffin, for all practical purposes, dominated the first round, dictating the pace and landing several nice combos on Evans. The second round started much the same way, but all it took was a mistake by Griffin and Evans was there to pounce on him and end the fight rather quickly.

The same thing happened in Evans' fight will Chuck Liddell. Liddell pushed things, cut the Octagon off and appeared to be the aggressor (although it was evident that Evans was the much quicker fighter). "The Iceman" left himself open in the second round and Evans promptly ended the fight with one of the greatest knockout punches ever captured on film.

Tonight's battle with Machida figures to have the same kind of pace, even though both fighters are counter-strikers. Perhaps Machida is the favorite because odds makers see him as a more well rounded fighter than Liddell or Griffin; a guy who causes mistakes rather than making them.

Lyoto Machida, like Evans has never tasted defeat as a professional fighter. He has been masterful in his last two UFC fights, beating Tito Ortiz by unanimous decision and overcoming Thiago Silva via a first round knockout.

The Brazilian, whose father is a Shotokan Karate master, does not go to the ground very often and Evans may try to use that to his advantage given his wrestling background. However, if Rashad does go that route, he can rest assured that Machida will have put his time in preparing for that development.

Regardless, tonight's fight should be more than entertaining. It may take things a while to warm up, but once they do, both Evans and Machida have the kind of skill to make for an entertaining UFC 98 Predictions dust up.

UFC 98 will take place tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event, which can be seen live on Pay-Per-View, is scheduled to get underway at 10:00pm ET. The 11 fight card features a light heavyweight title bout between Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida and the long-awaited grudge match between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra. UFC 98 Odds at Sportsbook.com have the former welterweight champion, Matt Hughes, listed as a -240 moneyline favorite.UFC 98 Odds

Matt Hughes has not seen the inside of the Octagon since losing to Thiago Alves in June of 2008. Hughes, who has hinted that this will probably be his last fight, severely injured his knee in that battle and has taken the last year to let it heal.

Prior to the Alves fight, the 35 year old had shown signs that he was perhaps losing some of his prowess inside the cage. Hughes had a unanimous decision victory over Chris Lytle sandwiched between losses to Georges St. Pierre.

St. Pierre dominated the Illinois native in their last go round, earning a submission in Matt Hughes-like fashion at 4:54 in the second round.

Despite his age and injury issues, Hughes has indicated he had no trouble getting prepared to fight Serra. Obviously, given the former champion's wrestling background, he focused a great deal of his training on getting his nemesis to the mat. And MMA fans should look for that to be his strategy when things get underway this evening.

For Matt Serra, the wait to return to the cage as been even longer than Hughes' interval. The jiu jitsu specialist last fought in April of 2008 when was pummeled by Georges St. Pierre. Had he won that fight, he would have faced Hughes long before tonight.

Serra is certainly a better stand up fighter than Hughes, but he will likely have a difficult time keeping the fight on it's feet. This fact has not been lost on the New Yorker and he has trained with that in mind.

"He takes guys down, he beats 'em up and that's what he's gonna try to do to me. And I'm gonna be prepared for it," Serra said, the UFC 98 odds underdog in tonight's skirmish. "I have really gone back to my roots with the BJJ. I have been working with Renzo Gracie a lot because I feel that is where I can counter what Hughes is good at."

Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida will take on light heavyweight champion "Sugar" Rashad Evans this Saturday night, May 23rd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Online bookmaker BetUS.com likes the Japanese-Brazilian to prevail in the fight and has him listed at 1 to 2 betting odds in the title match.UFC 98: Lyoto Machida 1 to 2 Betting Odds

Lyoto Machida, who is a perfect 14-0 in his mixed martial arts career, earned a shot at the light heavyweight title after Quinton "Rampage" Jackson had to dismiss himself from the UFC 98 card due to injury. The 30 year old Brazilian has done more than enough in his brief UFC stint to warrant a go at Evans.

In six UFC fights, Machida has looked almost invincible, pounding the likes of Rameau Sokoudjou, Tito Ortiz, and Thiago Silva. Silva, the latest "Dragon" victim, was dispatched via knock out by the Karate master at 4:49 in round one back in January of this year.

Despite his unblemished record and stellar performances inside the Octagon, Machida knows that Evans will likely be his most difficult challenge to date.

"Rashad is a strong athlete. From what I have seen, he seems to be a complete fighter," Machida said. "He has got really fast hands and really good takedowns."

Machida, well aware of Evans wrestling skills and his ability to score the knock out when necessary, nevertheless, feels comfortable that he will be up to the task come Saturday night.

"I am very relaxed right now," Machida said. "I have trained a lot based on Rashad's gameplan and built my gameplan for this fight around that. For myself, I am going to go out their with a clear mind and do what I train to do."
