Poker pro and Oklahoma native Clonie Gowen was born in 1971 and at the tender age of fifteen became Miss Teen Oklahoma. Clonie later moved to Texas, where she remained quite athletic and active. It is in Texas that Gowen had her first experiences playing poker: her beau’s father taught her how to play poker while she was in Dallas. The first tournaments Clonie Gowen ever played were played in Shreveport, Louisiana, and she easily managed to make enough cash to support herself by playing poker full time.UltimateBet.com has just upgraded their bonus offer and now provide a 111% initial deposit bonus for up to $1111 bonus dollars! Clonie’s true first name is Cycalona and she was actually named after the fact that she was born during a tremendous storm. In any case, there is little doubt that Clonie Gowen has taken the poker-playing world by storm. She would later enter into the World Poker Tour Costa Rica Classic and, in 2003; her success at getting to the final table earned her an invitation to the World Poker Tour Ladies’ Night. The World Poker Tour was a fantastic success and Clonie Gowen finished in first place, beating some of the world’s most successful female poker players including Annie Duke. Clonie Gowen is currently a major online player and takes part in the games offered by Full Poker Tilt. She now also spends time writing a column for Bluff Magazine, and she is an official member of the United States Poker Association. Gowen has had a number of interviews and appearances: she has been on Good Morning America, and has commentated for the Ultimate Poker Challenge.
