 Gavin Smith has already picked up 155k this year by coming in second place at Event #4 - $1,500 Pot Limit Holdem at the 2007 WSOP. Can Smith get himself a bracelet at the World Series of Poker this year? The verdict is still out.Smith, commonly referred to a Birdguts, was born in Ontario in 1968. Smith’s early card days involved cribbage and rummy, and he often played card games with his father. A former taxi cab driver, Gavin started his professional poker playing career at the age of 26.

Gavin has played in the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour, and the World Pro-Am Challenge Event. While on poker tours, he is known for clowning around. Smith believes that his clownish personality gives him an edge at the tables, stirring up overconfidence in his opponents. While on tour, Gavin Smith insists on having fun, and he can be seen having a good time with other players and friends.
