It looks like AbsolutePoker.net won’t be renewing their endorsement deal with poker pro Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi this May. Absolute Poker announced they will no longer be using professional poker players to endorse their brands in the US domestic market, but will continue to do so internationally. The marketing decision on the dotcom brands in the US does not in any way affect US players. Most people that follow online poker believe that there will be no shortage of suitors for The Grinder’s services. Mizrachi was CardPlayer Magazine’s 2006 Player of the Year and Point-Spreads.com has learned of at least one company interested in making an offer to The Grinder. "The environment in this industry changes constantly, and we are always willing to work with our partners to help them roll with the changes," stated The Grinder’s agent Brian Balsbaugh of Poker Royalty. Absolute Poker has just announced its second Absolute Dream Package Winner who was the second Absolute Poker player this year to win access to over $100 million in tournament prize pools through the $150k Absolute Dream Package prize package. The winner is on his way to living out every poker player's dream at the main events this year with free entry to the biggest tournaments, training from the Pros and a starring role in TV's richest cash game. Absolute’s sister website UltimateBet.com is the title sponsor of this September’s 6th annual Aruba Poker Classic. Over 700 players are expected to qualify through UltimateBet.com with satellites running at AbsolutePoker.com. The $8,500 Aruba prize package will send players to a 5-Star resort in Aruba to compete for the coveted Aruba Poker Classic Title and a share of over $2.5 million in prize money. Online poker affiliates looking to get a seat at the World Series of Poker by promoting AbsolutePoker.com should checkout an offer by FreeSI.com. The affiliate marketing agency will be sending 150 of their top affiliates to the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to compete in the World Series of Poker Main Event from July 6th-17th, 2007. |
