Fox News will not allow Ron Paul to participate into Sunday’s New Hampshire Republican Presidential Debate because his New Hampshire poll numbers did not go in to the double digits. In response to Fox's actions, Paul's supporters have set up a special protest website and have also flooded Rupert Murdoch's email inbox (which happens to be rmurdoch@newscorp.com). Ron Paul leads all Republican Presidential Candidates in 4th quarter fundraising, the campaign raised close to $20 million dollars. To put this in perspective, the Democratic Presidential Candidate front runner Hillary Clinton announced she raised just over $20 million for the quarter and $100 million for the year.
Ron Paul is 10 to 1 odds to become President in 2008 at Sportsbook.com compared with Fred Thompson at 25 to 1 odds to win the Presidency. Paul is likely to finish ahead of Republican Presidential favorite Rudolph Giuliani in Iowa. Sportsbook.com has Dr. Paul at 5 to 1 odds to win the Republican nomination putting him ahead of Fred Thompson, who was quoted at 15 to 1 odds on becoming the 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee.
“Basically the betting markets are saying that Ron Paul is more popular than Fred Thompson,” stated Point-Spreads.com Political Betting Expert Stu Norman. ”The multi-billion dollar international predictions markets have proven to be more accurate than any poll conducted on the ground.”
Gambling911.com reporter Jennifer Reynolds had this to say in response to the Fox News Ron Paul exclusion :
"on Paul supporters will be holding rallies, writing letters to the editor, boycotting all sponsors, calling Fox news and in an additional move there is even talk of contacting all shareholders of the company that owns Fox news (I will let you look that up yourself) and is advising everyone to sell sell sell and for those of you not able to sell, buy short. I am not offering any advice, I am only reporting what I have seen in print."
Paul’s message of restoring the Republic could be very beneficial for our government and it's citizens. Will his message reach the populace so “we the people” can decide? Let “we the people” decide if Paul’s platform can hold up against his fellow Republican Presidential Candidate's promises and ideas? Time will tell. The real question is, will all of this publicity get Ron Paul into the Republican Debate? We all know he should be included, but will soon find out if American Still Stands for Liberty once again.
Paul's disenchanted supporters have set up a special protest website to marshal support, as well as urge his fervent followers as follows:
"We need to send a message to Fox's Rupert Murdoch & his fellow Neocon buddies that he is not Musharraf and the U.S. is not Pakistan, yet! Fox News cannot just stifle public opinion, debate and impact a primary election by excluding Ron Paul just because they don't like his message of freedom and liberty. Cover them up with e-mails and they will just say it was a mistake or miscommunication. Be respectful as all of the e-mail addresses below are just employees trying to keep their jobs with the world's largest media monopoly."
The Libertarian/Republican wants to get back to a sound limited federal government as the original founding fathers envisioned while campaigning that he wishes to abolish the IRS and federal income tax. The Texas congressman has said that he would eliminate a lot of the wasteful spending on foreign policy initiatives which would be able to make up for the loss of revenue that abolishing the federal income tax would cause. Dr. Paul said, "I want to get back to a sensible size government."
