Senator Edward M. Kennedy intends to endorse the presidential candidacy of Senator Barack Obama during a rally today in Washington.  Mr. Kennedy’s endorsement is viewed as among the most influential amongst Democrats. The Massachusetts Senator vowed to stay out of the Party's Candidate Race but given the racial tone of the Billary campaign last week he was moved to announce his support for Obama.  BodogLife.com has Barack Obama at 4 to 1 odds to become the First Black President of the United States in 2008.

After Bill Clinton's behavior in South Carolina on the campaign trail, who could blame Caroline Kennedy for snubbing New York Senator Hillary Clinton in her bid for the White House.

"I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president — not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans" stated Caroline Kennedy in a op-ed piece published in the New York Times on January 27, 2008.

The message that Caroline Kennedy compares Barack to her father is a huge signal to white voters that it is ok to vote for Obama in 2008.  The Obama camp clearly needs to prove they can get the white vote to be competitive against the Republicans in the Fall Presidential Race.

“For somebody who, I think, has been such an important part of our national imagination and who generally shies away from involvement in day-to-day politics to step out like that is something that I’m very grateful for,” Mr. Obama told reporters on Sunday, referring to Ms. Kennedy's endorsement.

The Washington Democratic establishment is starting to turn their backs on the Clintons. A lot of Senators are gravitating towards Obama, sensing the "change of the guard" on the horizon.

I wonder what role will Slick Willy thinks he will be playing in the White House if his wife becomes the 2008 President of the United States.  Bill has been in a tizzy ever since Barack Obama called Ronald Regan the last President to have an inspiration message of change sweep into the White House bypassing President Bill Clinton's feat in 1992.  Hillary is still the favorite to secure the Democratic Party's Presidential Nomination with 1 to 6 odds at BodogLife.com.

The only way Hillary Clinton could beat Barack Obama is with the message of "Hope", the very message that Bill Clinton destroyed for her when he started calling the Obama candidacy an "illusion" and "fairy tale" to South Carolina Primary voters.  The Clintons have demonstrated they are willing to drag anyone down to their level. Where does Billary go from here?
